LBD and scentless fake tan

Blink and she's gone, just can't believe Christmas is over. I'm absolutely devastated to be back to work and routine :(. Only a couple of days to new years so that'll bring with it a day off, a half day and a maybe a bit of a partay!

After work yesterday I flew home to get ready for a night out. Winter nights out are great because you can fully cover up and stay snug. I love not having go through with the whole fake tan ordeal, mostly just because I can't be shagged. That being said, last night I wanted to put a little tan on my upper body, I'm getting laser hair removal at the moment so I can't use anything that will stain my skin. Luckily, I came across a recipie on Pinterest for Cocoa tan.  I litterly just poured moisturiser into a bowl, added cocoa powder and stirred the bejaysus out if it.  It turned out looking pretty yuck:

I only made a small amount because I was only doing my arms. It came out quite well, blended in easily and gave just a slight glow. It smelled like chocolate to begin with but was pretty scentless after 20 mins or so.

This  was the final look.

Dress: miss Selfridge
Boots: Aldo
Accessories: HndM, bauble earrings and pearl bracelet.

I wore a black small hand bag and a giant black coat from Zara, and my god did I need that coat and those boots, I was frizzled!

Despite taking it pretty easy last night I'm not feeling the very best today! A touch pukey. Nothing like a hike with the girls to get the system going.

Stephens Day hilly walk and lonely car journey.

Nothing like a post turkey hilly walk to make me feel human again. My mum and I got out for a 5mile walk and gossip session. The weather was lovely, fresh and bright. It took us about an hour, which is not too shabby.

Gotta love country roads, so quiet that the grass grows in the middle. I love being beside the sea!

This afternoon I've to drive back up to the big smoke, I'm devastated but needs must, I guess. Back to work tomorrow and it's going to be crazy! Give me strength, at least the five hour drive will give me time to think about my New Years resolution and January goals.

Also I might just stop off at Kildare village on my way up - it's a nice clothing outlet, that also houses a few posh brands at discounted prices.

Christmas WIAW, and what I wore

It's christmas! Oh my favorite time of year has come around again, I just love everything about Christmas. I don't get to spend enough time with my family, so when I get a few days off I relish in kicking back and relaxing in front of the fire.

Needless to say my little bro had us up early, to see what Santa brought- he was very good to all of us in this house!

Seeing as it's Wednsday here's my food, thanks peasandcrayons for hosting
Then it was breakfast:

For me, a small fresh fruit salad.

Later we went down the town to watch the Cristmas day swim, fair play, hats off to all of the swimmers today. Then to a friends house for wine and snacks.

I had a few crisps and a glass of wine.
At about 2pm we had our starter:

Seafood taster! Brown bread crab, salmon and prawns.

A few hours later we had dinner:
Turkey, baked glazed ham, roasties, stuffing, peas, carrots, parsnips and gravy. I couldn't eat the whole dinner, I left some turkey and most of the potatoes. It was out of this world delisious but just too much.

After clearing up we had dessert:

Christmas pud and cream. Later I might have a couple of chocolates when we play reminiscing or similar.

This is what I wore:
Scarf was a gift, dress is Hobbs, bracelet and necklace are Tiffany's I also wore M&S boots with the outfit.

It's hard to see the patern on the dress in this pic here is a clearer photo:

Black with grey sparrows on it.

Merry Chritmas!!!

Mulled wine, mince pies and visiting friends

Woke up this morning, still feeling the stress from yesterday, but I put the whole day behind me the best I could. I got stuck into making these babies!

I baked a batch of Courtney's cookies, well they were a half batch but still made enough for me to bring to work tomorrow. - it's pre Christmas Eve and a co-workers birthday!

Check out the recipie and directions here:

Then I got stuck into getting myself, my bag and my apartment reay for a trip home to visit my parents for Christmas, it's tomorrow- eeek!

Then later, I went out for a walk. Well, it was really a mid afternoon stroll, if I'm honest. But very refreshing and calming- plus I had to sprint the last few hundred yards to escape the rain/sleet/hail!

Tonight were off to a Christmas themed partay, with the girlies. Hello mince pies, mulled wine and Christmas cake. YUM!

What I wore:

Cardi : Penni's
Dress: miss Selfridge
Convers and wore a black leather jacket from Zara on top.

Can't wait.

Stressed out, pastries and crying to Dad.

Arrive in work and the computer system is down F my absolute life! The work piles up but I have no way of doing it, stress starts to build. I called a colleague as I thought he was due to update it last night. Nope, no luck, stress continues to mount. Eventually the help desk called me back and the computer gets going.

Lets just say it only got worse from there.

What's a gal to do? Eat one of these

Did it help?  Nah, not for long. What did help was crying to dad. Major stress relief.

I just have to remember the follow:

Work Christmas party number two!

Second Christmas party of the season and I'm in a taxi home at half past midnight, well done me. With work in the am I really don't have a choice.

Such a lovely night- dinner at a Japanese resteraunt in the city centre, there were about 13 of us, such a fun group. I had some chicken tapenyake, loads of veg and brown rice- nutritious and delisious. In total I estimate I drank three glasses of white wine, feeling a bit tipsy now- thank god for auto correct.

Currently traffic is at a standstill, ugh, just need my bed, maybe water and a bit of chocolate.

I went pretty low key because I was leaving early.

Top: ASOS
Skirt: Zara
Then I wore black ankle boots from NewLook.

I also went to the gym today first time in about 2months, granted I was there for less than thirty mins, hey I'm easing in.

All in all it was a really good day!

20th of December - odd time to start a new blog!

I have decided like many, many others to start a new blog. I have tried blogging in the past but I never found the right focus. I absolutely love healthy living blogs and lead a moderately healthy life but I'm also about clothes, shoes, handbags, scarfs, makeup - okay I'm getting carried away with myself now, the point is that this blog is a bit of this and a bit of that.

I also work in a very stressful environment and have a tendency to comfort eat (we're talking the whole cake, not a slice) if I don't manage my stress properly. I try to meditate regularly but have fallen off the wagon of late, same goes for exercise. Eeek this is beginning to sound like a confessional. I hope to check in here to keep track of goals, to confess my misdemeanors and set a plan in motion.
